WOD

"CrossFit Total"

Back squat, 1 rep
Shoulder Press, 1 rep
Deadlift, 1 rep

Total 660#

Squat 135 - 205 - 225PR
Shoulder Press 95 - 105 - 110(Tied PR)
Deadlift 255 - 305 - 325PR

After a restless night, I woke up this morning thinking I might skip the WOD. I thought, "my luck it'll be the CFT..." and it was. So - I did it anyway! I missed the last CFT and regretted it.

Well, my goal for 300+ deadlift by the end of the summer has been met! I took a different approach on this CFT. I went in higher and stepped the weight up faster. This worked well.

great workout! I wussed out and didn't even do the total (or angie as Brian is reminding me(again)and now i drank to much wine and i dont even like wine. oh dear. i willtry and comment while I'm sober tomorrow and when I have not eaten A LOT OF CHOCOLATE. Oh life is grand!
See what I get for taking a rest week! By the way, aren't you feeling a little overtrained. Maybe you need to rest. Remember our muscles grow when we rest. You're getting sleepy, sleepy, your deadlifts make you drowsy.

I will break you! I am aiming for a 400 DL by December...think you can make it?

Seriously splint, I am only aspiring to be able to actually chase your work in all of the bodyweight stuff. Your recent post was amazing.

I am surprised to find that the strength stuff is a talent for me. Back to the volleyball references - I expect explosive work to be good for me and it is. I also would have predicted the metcon scores to be an area of success for me - it isn't. The powerlifts were not even in my radar.

Crossfit not only helps condition me in all of these modalities, it has helped me find where my strngths/weaknesses are.
