I hope I don't have to start protecting my hands. I had been rubbing them with olive oil, which seemed to work at keeping the calloused skin elastic enough. Guess I need to be more diligent.
You know, the other day I was just thinking about how I never ripped a callous. Then the last time I did Angie, I was rubbing my hands on the basement wall to get some dirt and dust to keep them dry and I tore one. At first it turned me off the idea of using chalk but I'm thinking chalk is more fine and might work. I think I'm going to get a block and see what happens. Or maybe I should just stick with sweaty palms because that seemed to work well.
