WOD

Puppies:
Complete as many rounds in 15 minutes as you can of:
3 Pull-ups (or 3 Beginner Pull ups)
12 Push-ups (or box push ups)
21 Squats

6 rounds.

Some real pullups, some with band. I got a few kips in! I went to a park that has a 9 ft. pullup bar, so I felt free to swing away! The pushups were better than ever. The first 3 rounds of pushups were unbroken. This is a big gain for me.

This reminds me of something that Jerry always says. There's something about being up higher that enables you to kip better. Probably because to keep jumping down would be a waste of time. It also prevents you from putting your feet down at all. If you can, maybe you should keep going for some practice on the tall bar. It might help. Just a thought...

My issue is that my standing flat reach is 8'5"! Stretch me out on my toes and I'm right at 9' long! When I'm on a lower bar, I literally CAN'T kip. You should see me do pullups on my door gym - it's hilarious.
Yeah, I know what you mean, I'm only 6 foot and don't have that tall look but I like the high bar at the park for pull-up WODs.
