Active Rest
I'm taking an "Active Rest." I am feeling the need to push in the clutch before this gear winds out. It's been about 3 - 4 weeks since I did this, so my body is correct in telling me it's time for this. I plan to rest for the next 3 WODs and 1 rest day. If I think I need more, I'll take it. I am only going to do stationary bike, practice with PVC and lots of flexibility (read foam roller). I'm still feeling the effects of Elizabeth and my right foot issue. I must get a copy of the Pose Method book. I hope I don't have to completely give up the treadmill.
I'll still be posting, since I know Katie lives by my words...

Since she is the leader of the "Kult," I feel the need to give her extra respect now and again!
Still hoping you find your ring...
I had a PF flare after yesterday's "run's" so I am going to chill for a few days as well. Better to rest now then pay later!!! And my PF is making me think of getting those 5 fingers...maybe its a psychosomatic way to make me shop!
I do love words... you guys read my blog, imagine trying to have a fo' real conversation with me. :)
As for the rest, here're my thoughts. When I beat up my hip flexer a few weeks ago... I tried to scale back and keep moving. It did hurt a bit, but I'm now told that dr.'s advice on injuries is NOT to rest because it forces muscles to tighten instead of loosen. So it sounds like some good "active rest" is probably going to be a good bet for you. Keeps you in the groove, but not killing yourself...
Although I did contact a local crossfit gym and they said I could drop in on group workouts for $20 a workout. Maybe I'll do that a couple a of times. I've never been to a crossfit gym.
If it's a decent affiliate, there's an energy there that will get you. It's pretty intense.
